Gavin Burnett is a photographer based in Manchester, UK and he developed a passion for travel after spending a month in communist Russia at the age of 13. He discovered photography while studying graphic design at art college and now loves finding photographic stories that show countries in a different light. His travels have taken him to 60 countries and 7 continents.
His photographs have been featured in numerous publications such as; Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Wanderlust, National Geographic Traveller UK, Telegraph Travel, TPOTY, The Independent, Silversea plus many commercial brochures. He has been recognised with competitions wins and shortlists and was a National Geographic Traveller runner - up in 2024 and a winner of the Inntravel 'slow moments' photography competition. His work has been exhibited in the UK and Europe.
Recent trips include: Argentina, Antarctica, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Sri Lanka and Italy. Up next Ladakh and Morocco.
He is available for assignment or commission both locally and internationally, specialising in travel photography. He has undertaken assignments for both Tourism Boards and private companies.
